Garibaldis, it's payback time!

Pissing off Garibaldis is hilarious. Do you know how many shots these little guys ruined by getting in the way? Zillions. So now it's time for payback!
Garibaldis are the California State Fish. They're protected and they know it. Those who say marine life protection does not work are a bunch of morons. Garibaldis are living proof that protection works. They're everywhere and they're afraid of nothing. They're probably the most obnoxious fish ever.
During their nesting season mostly from March to July, male Garibaldis build their nest by harvesting everything on a rock except red algae. The bigger the Garibaldi, the bigger the nest. These nest are easy to spot as the Garibaldis will come and chase right at you snapping loudly, even trying to nip at you, if you dare to approach. The funniest thing to do is to grab an urchin or a shell and place it on the Garibaldi's nest. The Garibaldi will be extremelly annoyed by the intrusion that spoils its nest and may cost him a mating! So it will clean it right away, take the foreign object in its mouth and drop it a few feet away. If you try again, it will do the same thing but drop it even further!         Â

ALERT! Unknown object detected in nest! Action required immediatly! | Let's get that thing out of the way! | Yeah! Don't think that just because I do not have hands, I can't handle this! |
Do not torture it too much though, it's the State Fish after all... And please, don't put a 10 lbs rock on its nest, it's still a little guy (true, with a loud mouth). Make sure you do not damage the nest either, remember, this is is love-bed and you wouldn't want anybody to break yours... Have fun!
