Montage and Mountain English style

Two weeks ago I dove Montage with the SOCDC gang on Saturday and Mountain by myself on Sunday.
Saturday was fun but not that great. We had a strong surge and visibility was poor. I don't really like diving so shallow, we were at around 15ft most of the time. Sunlight was great and the water was a balmy 65°F (18°C) but the surge was strong up there.
Not much to see for me: lots of bugs and an octopus munching on a sea snail. Came back with less than 10 pictures... All Tv 1/80s+Macro+Flash.
On this dive, my camera case controls got stuck. Nothing major, just a few buttons that were very hard to activate. So back home I decided to clean up the inside of the case and grease the small o-rings of each controls.
That was a big mistake.
On the next day, I went diving Mountain. I was planning on two dives but I did just one as it turned out that the cleanup session from the day before left a lot of moisture inside the case and it was foggier than Oxford on a Winter day. Of course I found out when I was already half way to my descent zone, so I over-inflated my BC, opened the case, spit on the glass, spread it around as much as I could with my gloves on and closed the case.
It actually worked. Sort of.
The center of the pictures came out OK, despite a few blurry drops here and there.
There was not much to see anyway. Viz was worse than the day before and despite seeing the tail of a Leopard Shark 5 minutes into the dive and a baby ray ballet at the end, there was not much to immortalize.
